Visual erotic stimulation increases the quality of the ejaculate and improves the results of an assisted reproduction cycle. This is the conclusion of a study that Institut Marquès has presented at the 19th congress of the Spanish Andrology, Sexual and Reproductive Medicine Association (ASESA) that has taken place in Cádiz.

Dr Ferran García, President of ASESA and Director of the Andrology Service at Institut Marquès, has attended the congress. Also Bárbara Freijomil, Coordinator of the Andrology Laboratory of the centre, who has explained how sexual arousal directly affects sperm quality. The semen samples obtained after a visual erotic stimulation present more than twice motile spermatozoa, hence increasing the chances of pregnancy in assisted reproduction cycles. This findings have been drawn from an investigation carried out by Institut Marquès.

The study has involved 264 men aged 34 to 45 years old. After assessing the samples, it has been proved that a more intense and prolonged sexual arousal achieves a complete ejaculate with greater fertilising potential. Because of this, Institut Marquès offers the Erotic Personal System (EPS) in its sperm sample collection rooms.

Welcoming and cozy rooms

We have added some innovation to the most conventional methods (magazines and movies). At Institut Marquès you can find silicone masturbators in the shape of a vagina and adult movies in virtual reality (VR) that can be watched with special glasses. Furthermore, the sample collection rooms where patients obtain their samples through masturbation are welcoming and cozy. In them, patients can unwind with no need to hurry and with no interruptions. They are soundproofed rooms, sanitised, with special ventilation and a discreet access.

This system has had great acceptance among patients. 86.6% of those who have experienced it were fully satisfied with the experience. They describe it as the easiest way of getting to the ejaculation and to a better quality orgasm.
