Dr Borja Marquès receives the award from Jakub Dejewski, Chairman of the European Fertility Society, and Andreia Trigo, Founder and CEO of Enhanced Fertility.

Coinciding with the celebration of the annual congress of the ESHRE, Institut Marquès has been awarded for the “Outstanding patient experience during fertility treatment”. Dr Borja Marquès, director of the centre, has been in charge of collecting the award given by the European Fertility Society (EFS) at a ceremony held in Copenhagen, Denmark.

“This recognition is very important to us, as it acknowledges the efforts we are making to ensure excellent care for our patients. One of our main initiatives has been the creation of a “Patient Experience” committee, which works in collaboration with all departments to maintain and improve the quality of our services” said Dr Borja Marquès during the event.

Patient well-being: a key area in Assisted Reproduction

The EFS Awards annually recognise clinics, organisations, products, and services that pay special attention to the well-being of their patients in their day-to-day Assisted Reproduction treatment. It is an international award, the nominations are evaluated by an independent jury of experts from all over the world, representing all fields of reproductive medicine.

In the case of Institut Marquès, it is recognised for its innovation in the field of patient care, incorporating projects that ensure that the experience of its patients is exceptional throughout their treatment at its centres in Spain (Barcelona and Sabadell) and Italy (Rome and Milan). “Our “Patient Experience” committee is based on the valuable knowledge acquired during a century of caring for people all over the world. We value their feedback and continuously monitor the evolution of their needs and preferences. In fact, we consult them, they evaluate our services, and we incorporate their proposals into our protocols,” said Dr Borja Marquès.

Present at the 39th ESHRE Congress

Institut Marquès is once again present at the annual congress of the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology, which is being held from 25th to the 28th of June in Copenhagen (Denmark). With its own stand, a team from the centre is taking part in the congress’s medical meetings and activities.
