Doctor Marisa López-Teijón has been awarded with the Healthcare Excellence Prize

The organisation has recognised the continuing effort to keep on researching in order to discover the latest scientific and medical advances, the professionalism with patients and projects, as well as health protection tasks of the awardees

The Director of Institut Marquès has received the award Dr Gómez Ulla for Healthcare Excellence, granted by the Instituto para la Excelencia Profesional (IEP). This organisation recognises the commitment and passion in their search for excellence of professionals of the medical and pharmaceutical sectors.

This prize is awarded only to those organisations and professionals that have reached healthcare excellence. The organisation has recognised the continuing effort to keep on researching in order to discover the latest scientific and medical advances, the professionalism with patients and projects, as well as health protection tasks of the awardees.

The organisation highlighted about Doctor Marisa López-Teijón that she is among the 10% of the world’s most relevant researchers and that she has become an international referent in assisted reproduction. The prize ceremony took place at the Westin Palace Hotel in Madrid, in an event presented the by IEP Vice President of Honour.

Awarded at Harvard University

This recognition adds up to the extensive curriculum of the gynaecologist. Among the awards that she has recently received, her appointment in 2018 as full Academic Member of the prestigious Academia de las Ciencias Ramón y Cajal, where she was awarded the “Cordón y Pin Académico”.

At an international level, we would highlight the Ig Nobel Prize in Medicine 2017 that Doctor Marisa López-Teijón received at Harvard University (USA) for her publications on the benefits of music from the beginning of life and the discovery of foetal hearing.
